Amaravathi introduction:-


Amaravathi is a well known Buddhist site and town in Guntur locale of the Indian condition of Andhra Pradesh. It is situated in Amaravati mandal of Guntur income division, on the banks of Krishna waterway.

The Buddhist site gives its name to the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravathi (spelled the same in Telugu), which is likewise a piece of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region, however is 35 miles west of the Buddhist site at Uddandarayunipalem.
The written history of Amaravati and close-by Dharanikota dates to fifth century BCE. It was the capital of Satavahanas who ruled from third century BCE to third century CE.
